A Tour to Chattogram
It was a best tour in the among all DSCSC outing for the Student. It was a seven days trip and we started
in a shiny morning to Chattogram with 4 couch and reached around afternoon. All of us were set in to the various messes in
the Chattogram(ctg) cantonment. The next day we started for Kaptai which is the largest Artificial lake in Bangladesh.
A boat cruising through that lake was wonderful experience tha all of us had. It was not publicly allowed due to the insurgency
problem in the region so it was a rare oppurtunity. We have visited an army camp on the hiltop and near the lake from where
amny small island amused us. The lake water was clean and woods in the hill were green which made a great sense of natural
beauty. We visited a naval installation then returned the same day to our mess at ctg. Next morning we went to see the most
modern simulation system in naval largest base. It was outstanding experience to see the computerized naval warfare simulation
and other technical display there. We started then a sea journey with 6 navy warships day and night to reach Saint Martin's
island. We enjoyed the sea, sky, ship, and sun in the journey at day and night. Night was spectecular at sea with lots of
stars at sky. The sunset and sunrise at sea is wonderful. We reached after 40 hrs in the island and have fun, diving, music,
shopping, boat riding. While returning to the naval base we witnessed a spectecular Gun Fire of 6 Naval ships togehter to
an artifitial target. We also watched various tactical maneuvres of ship and ship to ship replenishment. Staying in ship felt
like a real voyager indeed....
